Paint Protection Film (PPF).

What Is Paint Protection Film?

PPF is a thermoplastic urethane clear film that was originally designed by 3M for the US Military to protect delicate parts of helicopters from sharp debris. With Joe Huntley's expertise, this same film can be applied to your vehicles paintwork to stop stone chips and scratches.

Why Use PPF?

A few years ago PPF was reserved for the finest and craziest vehicles with super expensive paintwork. However, with most new cars in the UK now costing over five figures, we all want to protect what is normally our second biggest purchase in our lifetime. Paint Protection Film provides a chemical, dirt, scratch and stone chip resistance and in comparison, a ceramic coating only offers chemical and dirt resistance. Paint Protection Film is undeniably the strongest way to protect your cars paintwork. Perfect for those who what to keep a new car new and even a used pride and joy looking great.

The Full Cover

The third package is the Full Cover Package. This is often the choice of owners with custom order paints, satin paints and super cars. As the name suggests, this covers all painted areas on the car offering maximum protection.

Self Healing PPF.

A lot is said about the elasticity of PPF and how it protects around stone chips. For Joe, one of the key features is the self healing aspect. All vehicles pick up light swirls and marks that just cant be helped. Normally these marks are expensive to remove with machine polishing.

With PPF, heat is enough to fix these same defects. This heat source could be as effortless as the natural sun in Summer or as simple as using hot water to wash in the winter or even isolated repairs with boiling water and heat guns. Whats not to like about that?

Gloss & Satin Protection.

The Paint Protection Film used by Joe Huntley comes in two distinctive finishes. The first is classic gloss. This is a deep rich gloss finish that will give the dripping wet look we all desire from our paint. This can then be topped up with a PPF specific ceramic coating for increase hydrophobicity.

The second finish available is a deep satin. With more and more manufactures offering matt, satin and frozen paint options owners want to have a worry free experience. This is what satin PPF achieves on a surface that can't be polished.

Detailed Installation.

A detailed installation of PPF can be the difference between someone knowing you have film on your paint and an invisible installation. The pre-plotted kits used by Joe will ensure maximum coverage with wrap around edges where possible.

In addition badges, light and other parts maybe removed to allow the film to tuck under the edges. Again, ensuring an invisible application.

Windscreen PPF.

We all know that stone chips can ruin windscreens. Many will say 'replace it under your insurance', however, most insurers will not replace it with a genuine screen. This is where windscreen PPF comes in. This thicker film is perfect for brand new cars, classic cars and modern classic cars. Especially when most classic windscreens are no longer in production.

With new developments windscreen protection film is now as good as the film used on paintwork. For many years it was lacking in clarity, but now it truly is invisible.
