2024 Porsche 911 Turbo S
Over recent years, the Porsche Turbo S has cemented its status as a motoring icon. By blending grand touring luxury with supercar performance, it has become, for many, the ultimate daily sports car. However, when my customer collected this Arctic Grey example from his local Porsche Centre, it required significant work before it truly looked the part.
Despite not being the first owner, the car had delivery-level mileage, so we booked it in for my New Car Detail.
The first stage of any Joe Huntley detail is an exhaustive decontamination process. I began with the wheels, tires, and arches, stripping away the heavy, dealer-applied silicone dressings that had left an oily mess. Following this, the bodywork was treated to a deep snow foam soak, with intricate areas agitated by hand using a detailing brush. After a safe two-bucket wash, the final wet work stage involved a full mechanical and chemical decontamination—dissolving iron and tar deposits and using a clay bar to remove any remaining bonded contaminants.
With the Arctic Grey paint now surgically clean, I moved the Porsche into the studio for inspection. As is common with many new Porsches, the paintwork was not perfect. I identified several areas requiring machine compounding to remove heavy scratches and unsightly water spots. Once the defects were corrected, I machine-refined the entire car to a high-gloss finish. This created the perfect surface for a professional-grade ceramic coating. This is the gold standard for protecting modern paintwork, offering long-lasting durability, stain resistance, and incredible self-cleaning properties. To complete the package, the glass and the stunning gloss black Turbo S wheels were also ceramic coated.
I am sure you will agree that this Turbo S now looks every bit the ultimate sports car and is fully protected for the road ahead.
