I am sure you will agree that this generation of Aston Martin felt like it was going on and on. However, through all of the different life cycles of this chassis shape, there was always one that got me excited: the one Jeremy Clarkson featured in his famous Top Gear monologue, the Aston Martin V12 Vantage S.

This customer had previously had another of their cars detailed by me and could not resist having their Vantage S booked in for a full treatment. The car itself looked good from a distance, but once I got it under the studio lights for a close-up inspection, it really did need some professional attention.

The first job was to get the car up on axle stands, get the wheels off, and perform a thorough deep clean and decontamination of the wheels, brake calipers, and wheel arches. Of course, the rest of the chassis was subjected to a multi-stage safe wash and full chemical decontamination to strip away any bonded contaminants. Following this, the paint underwent a full paint correction process to remove unsightly swirl marks and scratches. The corrected and polished paint truly had a warm, deep glow following this stage. Although the front end was covered in PPF (paint protection film), this was also machine polished to restore its clarity, and I took the time to trim back those long, dirty overhanging edges that often catch the eye for the wrong reasons.

Once all of the polishing and tidying was complete, every square inch of the Aston was protected with a ceramic coating, covering the paintwork, glass, trim, and wheels for long-term hydrophobic protection. The final touch to this extensive detail was a deep clean to the interior, where I focused on stripping the oils from the shiny leather and using specialised brushes to restore the dull, flat Alcantara steering wheel back to its original soft texture.
